The Ghadar Party headquarters at 5 Wood Street in San Francisco was purchased and built using money diverted from the original Ghadar organization at 436 Hill Street—funds misappropriated by Ram Chandra and Gobind Bihari Lal while they controlled the party’s finances in 1916, just before the Hindu–German Conspiracy Trial.
